SkillBridge Internship positions are all dependent on availability.

New internship positions can be added depending on demand. Our 90–180 day On-The-Job Training (OJT) program (duration varies by branch and rank) provides hands-on, real-world training led by experienced industry professionals. Participants receive structured instruction, coaching, and mentorship while applying skills directly in the workplace to build practical expertise and prepare for civilian career success. Interns are exposed to the same employee training and career development that full-time staff members receive as they work under close supervision of university staff.

Service members benefit from networking events and workshops covering topics such as resume writing, interviewing skills, Texas A&M employee benefits, and performance management to complement the guided OJT curated for transitioning service members.

The Pharmacy Technician Program is designed as a cohort-based training plan, and the SkillBridge participant must start at the established cohort date.

Veterinarian Technician Programs require prior experience in this discipline to participate.

A SkillBridge participant must be located in, or willing to relocate to one of the following Texas A&M SkillBridge locations (depending on availability):

College Station, TX or the Brazos Valley and surrounding area
Galveston, TX area
Dallas / Fort Worth, TX area
Washington, DC area
Fully or partially remote is typically not allowed for State of Texas agencies or universities for this program (exceptions for the Veteran's Coaching Program are case-by-case only).

The intern must be at the approved OJT location for the duration of the program and beyond. This OJT program is designed as a pathway to employment as a staff member at Texas A&M University or one of its satellite campuses.
While participation may include access to university resources, it is NOT INTENDED as a means to gain admission as a STUDENT.
Please do not apply if your primary intent is to enroll as a student only (the only exception is for the Veterans' Coaching Program or CMAP; please contact us for this exception).
