The incumbent will attend services for deceased CBP employees and ensure open communication between the surviving family members and CBP leadership.The intern serves as a long-term liaison with the survivors to ensure that close contact is maintained between CBP and the survivors, and their needs are met for as long as they feel the need for support. The intern must be aware of all facts connected to a LODD to be able to convey to the survivors the situation and context in which the LODD occurred which requires sensitivity and discretion for these delicate situations.
