Medical Material Specialist III (LEAD):
The Medical Materiel Specialist (MMS) Lead is responsible for all warehouse support service activities supporting the Navy Medical Readiness Logistic Command’s (NMRLC) Expeditionary Medical System (EXMED) mission. Duties of the MMS include receiving, shipping, storing (stowing), selecting (picking) supply turn-in (disposal), packing (kitting and stuffing) or unpacking (downloading) and inventory of general or specialized material and equipment. The MMS will utilize the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) database, or Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) database, or other DoD authorized system to accurately account for and process the Table of Allowances (TOA) which are sometimes also referred to as Authorized Medical Allowance Lists (AMALs) or Authorized Dental Allowance Lists (ADALs) which comprise EXMEDS. The position requires a detail-oriented and highly proficient individual that can adhere to published standards and guidance directed in local Standard Operating Procedures, Navy guidelines, and Department of Defense publications.
