Cybersecurity Specialist Apprenticeship: Skills and Qualifications● 2-5 years of practical work experience in cybersecurity, IT with a strong securityfocus, or a related technical field.● Working knowledge of relevant cybersecurity concepts, tools, and software (e.g.,firewalls, endpoint detection and response, SIEM, MFA).● Familiarity with common security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) is a plus.● Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, or equivalent arehighly desirable.● Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with an efficient approach totroubleshooting.● Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities.● Effective communication skills, including clear speaking, concise writing, and activelistening.● Commitment to great customer service and strong interpersonal skills.● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision.● High attention to detail and a focus on fact-based decision-making.● While direct cybersecurity professional experience is desired, strong technicalaptitude, relevant coursework, or security-focused projects are highly valued.● Must be able to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization– we thrive in an open and collaborative environment and cherish people who bringtheir ideas and ambition every day.● Highly self-motivated and adaptable individuals are most successful in this role.
