Skilled Trades Academy

Hiring Our Heroes is launching the HOH Skilled Trades Academy, a hands-on, skills-based pilot program. The inaugural cohort will be hosted in Jacksonville, North Carolina, just outside the gates of Camp Lejeune. This six-week, in-person training initiative—powered by Lowe’s Foundation—will equip transitioning service members, veterans, and military and veteran spouses with foundational skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and masonry. Designed as a direct pathway to in-demand careers, the program also introduces participants to small business ownership and provides professional development and networking opportunities.
