IAAR Apprenticeship Program
IAAR has developed a federally-approved apprenticeship program for Management System Auditors to help you develop your future workforce right now. This program was specifically designed for filling certifying bodies' auditor talent pipelines. Now that you have decided to participate, you will need to develop a business process for orienting and onboarding your apprentice. This guide shows you how. It contains a checklist of things you will need to do when hiring apprentices such as how to supplement your onboarding process, how to provide on-the-job training (OJT) and develop your trainers/mentors, how to determine and evaluate learning outcomes, how to manage your apprentice on the job and the documentation you will need to record that work as a Registered Apprenticeship, a sample wage progression chart, a sample job description, a checklist of IAP-required competencies, the academic coursework provided by University of California San Diego, and when to provide OJT competency training to your apprentice over the two-year apprenticeship timeframe.
