A Counterintelligence Officer, regarded as a Subject Matter Expert within the DON, must have a diverse skill set to effectively carry out their duties and responsibilities. These skills include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Counterintelligence Expertise: A deep understanding of counterintelligence principles, techniques, and methodologies is crucial. This includes knowledge of intelligence collection, analysis, and dissemination, as well as counterespionage tactics. 2. 1. The candidate must have a Top-Secret Security Clearance based upon a Single Scope Background Investigation and be eligible for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Prior to appointment the incumbent shall consent to and will be subject to a Counterintelligence-Scope (CI) polygraph examination. 2. This position has been identified as a Testing Designated Position (TDP). The candidate shall consent a drug test prior to appointment, and is subject to random drug testing thereafter. 3. The incumbent must be a certified DoD Counterintelligence Agent as defined by DoD policy.
