Veteran Futures Academy is Operation Lifeline’s in-person construction pre-apprenticeship program for transitioning service members and veterans in Northeast Florida. The program provides classroom instruction, industry-recognized credential preparation, supervised hands-on construction training, employability skills, and pathways into registered apprenticeship, construction employment, or continued skilled trades training.
As an intern with Operation Lifeline Inc., you'll delve deep into the heart of a vibrant, emerging organization dedicated to affordable housing and veteran support. Playing a crucial role in our expansion endeavors, you'll not only be involved in everyday operations but also engage in enriching dialogues with governmental bodies, private entities, and other nonprofits. By networking with regional leaders, assisting in the rollout of new programs and projects, and backing various administrative functions, you'll significantly contribute to refining and enhancing our strategies. In return, you'll gain invaluable hands-on experience, expand your professional network, understand the nuances of nonprofit management, and acquire skills that will be assets in your future endeavors, all while making a difference in the lives of veterans and the broader community.
