The intent of the software engineering fellowship is to introduce and train the SkillBridge fellow in the core competencies and best practices for performing agile software development. The position will integrate the SkillBridge software engineer as part of a scrum development team with responsibilities for performing activities across the software development lifecycle. Clearly express how the organization’s SkillBridge training objectives align with job competencies for each block of training (usually derived from a job task analysis for the targeted job. The majority of the internship will consist of "Scrum Sprints". The goal of the Scrum Sprints is to integrate the SkillBridge fellow into the scrum team and to familiarize the individual with the scrum software development process. Over the course of each successive sprint, the team is expected to seek continual improvement while maturing the software solution. The SkillBridge fellow will be exposed to all facets of the software development lifecycle and will be responsible for working on all aspects of the solution development and delivery.
