US Fabrication is committed to the manufacturing and on-time delivery of these piece parts to the assembly operations with a very experienced staff of machinists who can operate a variety of work centers able to fabricate sheet steel, turn bar stock and machine raw castings into complex parts. In this job, you will work in a production environment, continuously tending a machine. After an initial training period, productivity and quality requirements must be met. Durations of set-ups and run times will vary. Tasks require a moderate degree of eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion.S&C Electric Co. has launched a Training Program for CNC Machinists to upskill in the following areas for machinists:· CNC Milling (Set-up & Operations) – 24 Hrs. max· CNC Turning (Set-up & Operations) –18 Hrs. maxS&C DOD Skillsbridge CriteriaMust be a current Active Duty ServicememberMust be transitioning out of military within 6 months.Must be able to complete a minimum of 2 weeks of on-the-job trainingMust be able to complete 40 hours minimum, fulltime, to meet program requirements.Job Title: Upon completion of the CNC Milling and CNC Turning courses, this SkillBridge training program will prepare the Service member to be hired as a CNC Machinist.Cost of Program:There is no cost to service person. Reimbursement provided for room and board.Length of Training:CNC Milling will be 24 hours and CNC Turning will be 18 hours of class/hands-on instruction or 2-week training program, meeting three times a week, for six to eight hours per session.Cohort Start TimesThere will be 2 cohort start dates available. Students can select to join either the April or August sessions.Location(s)All training will be completed in the Chicagoland area.

The Field Service Technician role is an opportunity for Electrical Engineers to build a career in an industry that is challenged to support the future of the power grid. S&C Electric Co is growing and the need for additional Field Service Technicians is critical to meet demand. The Field Services Leadership team has more than 30 years of experiences collectively which provides a great opportunity for new team members to learn, grow, and bridge skill sets.The Field Services Engineering team is critical to supporting our customers by installing, repairing, and troubleshooting equipment to maintain electrical power services globally. S&C provides solutions for customers worldwide. The company has engineering offices and manufacturing facilities in Chicago, Illinois; Franklin, Wisconsin; Alameda, California; Duvall, Washington; and Orlando, Florida. S&C subsidiaries operate in Toronto, Canada; Wales, United Kingdom; Melbourne, Australia; Suzhou, China; Curitiba, Brazil; and Aguascalientes, Mexico.S&C Electric Co. has launched a training program to provide customized training for Field Service Technicians. At the end of the training program, Service Member will be a Field Service Technician. The Power Systems team has developed a training program to provide new team members with training in the following areas. • Intro to Power Distribution Systems (There are basic concepts and terminology commonly used in power distribution systems, both internally by S&C and by our customers) 120Hrs. max• Power Systems & Devices (The goal is to gain a basic familiarity with each device before gaining hands-on experience or working in the field. 80 Hrs max• Maintenance, Installation, & Repair (Participation in workshops, application of knowledge learned, partnering with Field Service Engineering team to practice and exhibit skilled learned to prepare for work in the field. 200hrs max Job Title: Upon completion of the Field Service Technician training courses, this SkillBridge training program will prepare the Service member to become a Field Service Technician.
