Students acquire and master the skills required for entry-level Machinistpositions in the manufacturing and construction industries, upon their successful graduation from thetraining program. The Machinist Training Program is a total of 320 hours, designed to provide thetrainee with the NIMS Machining Level I knowledge and skills required for positions as a Machinistand is comprised of eight hour lessons conducted weekdays from 7:00 AM to 3:45 PM over a 8-weekperiod in classroom and machine shop settings.Performance Objectives Students will Learn:• Precisions Measurements• Manufacturing Mathematics• Engineering Drawing• Basic Computer Operations• Conventional Machining Techniques• Set up and Programming Operations• Introduction to CNC Machining
