Job description:
A Navy Federal Firefighter is a multi-disciplined emergency responder responsible for protecting lives, property, and critical national security assets across naval installations. Beyond standard structural firefighting, this role requires specialized expertise in Shipboard Firefighting and Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) to support fleet and flight line operations. As a first responder, the firefighter also provides emergency medical care, handles hazardous materials (HazMat) incidents, and performs technical rescues, all while maintaining rigorous physical readiness and high-level proficiency in specialized military emergency equipment.
Will receive DOD certifications (recognized by Proboard/IFSAC): CPR, EMR, Hazmat Awareness, Hazmat Operations, Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Airport Firefighter, and Marine Firefighter.Estimated Start of Course will be September.
