Tool Testing Lab – SkillBridge Workforce Transition Program

The Calibration Technician SkillBridge Participant will engage in a structured, hands-on training program designed to build technical competency in calibration and metrology within a professional laboratory and field service environment. Participants will develop proficiency in performing routine calibrations on a variety of measurement and test equipment in accordance with documented procedures, applicable industry standards, and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. Under the guidance of experienced technicians and technical leadership, participants will progressively learn to execute standard calibration tasks, properly document calibration data, and understand traceability and quality requirements. The program emphasizes accuracy, reliability, and consistency of results while reinforcing best practices for technical documentation and quality system adherence. Throughout the training period, participants will gain exposure to both in-lab and customer-site calibration activities, observe customer interactions, and learn how internal teams collaborate to support scheduling, quality review, and service delivery. SkillBridge participants will also take part in cross-training activities to broaden their technical knowledge across multiple measurement disciplines. This opportunity is intended for service members with a foundational understanding of technical or mechanical principles who are transitioning from military service and seeking to apply their skills in a regulated, quality-driven technical environment. The program prepares participants for potential post-transition employment by developing job-ready competencies while maintaining a clear focus on learning, mentorship, and professional development.
