Manufacturing Academy
AMI-SD’s The Manufacturing Academy program prepares participants for immediate employment as entry-level CNC Machine Operators and Quality Control Inspectors. It is a 17-week pre-employment program for individuals with no prior experience, offering hands-on machine training alongside classroom instruction to prepare them for immediate employment as entry-level precision machine workers. The curriculum covers core competencies, including technical math, machine theory, blueprint reading, and metrology, as well as professional development skills such as workplace communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. Graduates earn a Certificate of Achievement, a Six Sigma Green Belt, and an NDT Educational Overview Certificate. Since its inception, the program has served over 160 participants across 16 cohorts, achieving a 90% job placement rate for graduates available for employment upon completion.Cohort #16: Oct. 6, 2025 - Feb. 20, 2026 Cohort #17: Feb. 16, 2026 - Jun. 12, 2026 Cohort #18: Jun. 8, 2026 - Oct. 2, 2026 Cohort #19: Sep. 28, 2026 - Jan. 22, 2027 All Cohorts are from 8:00 am-12:00 pm (Monday-Friday)
