Andy's Trout Farm Aquaculture Industry Training Program
The SkillBridge Training Program for the Deputy Manager role at Andy’s Trout Farm in Otto, NC provides transitioning service members with hands-on experience in aquaculture operations, small business management, and customer service within a working trout farm and recreation setting. Participants train alongside farm leadership to learn fish husbandry practices, water quality monitoring, pond and equipment maintenance, inventory management, staff supervision, and guest services, while also developing leadership, problem-solving, and operational planning skills. The program is designed to translate military experience into practical civilian workforce competencies, preparing participants for a successful transition into agricultural operations management, outdoor recreation leadership, or small business management roles.
