Semiconductor Equipment Technician Internship
The Semiconductor Equipment Technician SkillsBridge Intern program provides transitioning service members with immersive, hands-on experience in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment. Participants will work alongside experienced technicians and engineers in a cleanroom fabrication facility, supporting the installation, maintenance, and optimization of advanced semiconductor equipment. This internship emphasizes real-world skill development through preventative maintenance activities, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and equipment calibration, while reinforcing strict adherence to safety, quality, and cleanroom protocols. Interns will gain exposure to complex manufacturing systems and learn how precision, process control, and uptime directly impact production performance.Throughout the program, interns will follow a structured training plan that combines on-the-job learning with mentorship and technical instruction. Participants will develop foundational knowledge in electronics, mechanical systems, pneumatics, and automated equipment controls, while building critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The SkillsBridge experience is designed to prepare service members for full-time technician roles by providing meaningful project contributions, performance feedback, and career readiness support. Successful participants will demonstrate the ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams, positioning them for potential employment opportunities in semiconductor manufacturing upon program completion.
