The Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic serves as the essential backbone of ground vehicle readiness and operational capability at Nine Mile Training Center (9MTC). The Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic oversees the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of a diverse fleet of tactical and commercial wheeled vehicles, ensuring all ground mobility assets are mission-ready and meet stringent safety and operational standards. Primary duties include performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, executing Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), diagnosing mechanical and electrical system faults, coordinating repair parts requisition and accountability, enforcing safety and regulatory compliance, and maintaining accurate maintenance records and readiness reporting.
Expeditionary Electrician – Tactical Power Distribution and Electrical Systems Operations
The Expeditionary Electrician serves as the critical backbone of electrical power infrastructure and distribution across the Nine Mile Training Center (9MTC) range complex. The Expeditionary Electrician installs, maintains, and repairs high and low voltage electrical systems, power distribution networks, and generation equipment, ensuring that all training facilities, test ranges, and operational areas maintain uninterrupted electrical readiness. Primary duties include electrical systems installation and maintenance, power generation operations and sustainment, preventive maintenance execution, fault diagnosis and troubleshooting, NFPA 70E and NEC compliance enforcement, and accurate maintenance records and readiness reporting. This position is specifically suited for candidates with a background as a Navy Seabee Construction Electrician (CE) or Air Force RED HORSE Electrical Systems specialist (AFSC 3E0X1/3E0X2).
