Talent Systems Specialist
The Talent Systems Specialist establishes and administers the systems, data, and integrations that serve as Market/Dean’s (MKD) single source of truth for people operations. Working within an 8(a) EDWOSB defense-focused marketing agency, the Specialist builds out Rippling as the company’s core Human Resources Information System (HRIS), migrates and reconciles legacy candidate and employee data from HubSpot, coordinates with the Operations Specialist on JAMIS Prime integration for contractor personnel data requirements, and develops the phased roadmap for activating additional Rippling modules (benefits administration, identity and access management, IT device policy, onboarding, performance management, recruiting).
The People Operations Specialist runs the day-to-day people operations of Market/Dean (MKD) — recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, employment compliance, employee/contractor point of contact, and foundational people policy development. Working within an 8(a) EDWOSB defense-focused marketing agency, the Specialist executes active recruiting cycles against open roles, manages onboarding for both 1099 contractors and W2 employees, maintains state-by-state employment compliance and federal contractor personnel compliance (I-9/E-Verify, background checks, CMMC personnel access, personnel security awareness training), drafts and stewards MKD's employee handbook and priority written policies, serves as the primary POC for benefits questions and performance management coordination, and helps run the bi-annual people survey in partnership with the Marketing Lead.
The role is execution-heavy and detail-focused — the Coordinator learns business operations and compliance discipline within a working operating environment.
