Technician, Maintenance, Engineering
An Equipment Engineer will have the responsibility for uptime and performance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and support areas. The candidate will be given the opportunity to work with the technical support groups to lead and implement creative solutions to improve equipment performance and reduce cost. The candidate will manage new equipment installs, by coordinating tasks with various groups to insure an on time, on budget and qualified tool to release to production. This position will be responsible for all wet processing and ion implant equipment in the Mountain Top fab. Within thirty days you will: Develop a basic understanding of the manufacturing and support systems and site culture. Demonstrate an understanding of current practices and specifications and develop an actionable plan for continuous improvement, yield improvement, cost savings, projects, etc. Develop and implement a migration strategy from preventative to predictive maintenance. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to changing priorities. Strong project leadership, organization and excellent communication skills. Basic understanding of safety, health and environmental areas. Ability to utilize many information sources (internet, books, social media, etc.) Suggested Qualifications but not required: 2 years of semiconductor equipment engineering experience strongly preferred. Experience with the following platforms is a plus: Akrion Gama wet decks; Siconnex spin etchers; AMAT 9500XR and Axcelis GSD200 Implanters. Required Technical Experience: Understanding of Microsoft Office Products. Electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Experience in project leadership fundamentals, effective communication and spending justification. Equipment engineering skills with solid experiences in resolving tool related challenges. In-depth knowledge of Predictive and Preventative Maintenance techniques.
