The AT&F SkillBridge program is an opportunity for transitioning service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through their last 6 months of service, for up to 180 days. The AT&F SkillBridge Program is open to all ranks and experience levels. SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from AT&F, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as Active-duty service members. Who Are We? Welding and fitting on large scale metal fabrications utilizing GMAW welding processes. Welding is typically multi-pass with full penetration welds. Parts are large in scale and Team Members are typically welding on top of the parts or in the parts. Being able to move and adapt physically into different positions to achieve quality welds is important. Welding is done to various welding codes including AWS, ASME, AISC, and Military Specifications. The understanding of weld symbols, blueprints, tolerancing, and non-destructive testing is important.
