Allied Universal® Technology Services is looking to hire Installation Technicians. The Installation Technician will perform installations of electronic control systems, which may include door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low-voltage communication, and fire alarm systems, including cable management, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, and associated hardware. As an Installation Technician, this person is expected to be a highly proactive and skilled individual and, at all times, maintain performance consistent with Allied Universal Technology Services' core values.
Job description:
Install, program and configure commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients (door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, et cetera)Troubleshoot new security installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and satisfy codesSupervise Installation Technician I’s on a job as assigned by the Installation ManagerDrive to client sites with a company issued vehicle, to perform the system installation and confirm the system is operating effectively and meets contract requirementsRun electrical wiring; related activities include drilling, trenching, and aerial runs.Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment, and security software installation.Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned, such as job-site clean-up

Must possess a valid driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle.A high school diploma or equivalent is requiredMinimum 5+ years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm or low voltage communication industry, including installing field devices, programming systems, and running medium- to large-sized jobs, are requiredNICET certification is a plusExperience with access control, video management, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems, or any of the following is preferred:Lenel/S2, Software House, AMAG, Brivo, Open OptionsAvigilon, Genetec, Exacqvision, Milestone, ONSSI, Axis, American Dynamics, and Eagle EyeDMP, Bosch, and CommendEdwards, Notifier, FireliteMust be able to travel and drive throughout Southern California and out of state, such as AZ, MN, UT, and CO, as needed
