Operation Redefine Me - Willman Air

Operation Redefine Me is a nonprofit that seeks to provide service members with tools and resources during their Skillbridge opportunity. Through a partnership with Willman Air in Jacksonville, Fl, service members will have the opportunity to work along side both organizations. Willman Air provides service members the opportunity to work in the heating and air-conditioning trade. Willman Air is willing to apply to become a VA approved apprenticeship program if service members decide to stay beyond the Skillbridge opportunity, allowing them to use VA benefits while continuing a career at Willman Air.

Individuals will begin by learning how to install units and work their way to maintenance, then troubleshooting. Due to the nature of the trade, there is manual labor involved. Examples of work include, installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment. Identifying maintenance risks on equipment. Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems. Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
