Explore the mapThe internship will prepare you to be a Maintenance Technician upon hire and completion of the first 90 days of the Maintenance Technician Training Program. There is no guarantee of a permanent placement with J.B. Hunt, however we will only bring on an intern if there is a high probability of a permanent placement with a shop in your preferred location. If you go into the management track, you will be prepared for promotion to Maintenance Manager upon hire.
Participants will train on preventative maintenance, replacement of parts/components, and basic repairs for diesel tractor maintenance. This includes the fuel system, battery, engine, drive train, onboard computer, transmission, air brake systems and Federal Highway Administration inspections. Participants who go into trailer repair will gain a foundational knowledge of preventative maintenance, replacement of parts/components, and basic repairs as it pertains trailer maintenance, air brake systems, and Federal Highway Administration inspections.
