At the conclusion of the SkillBridge Internship, interns will have an in-depth understanding of the full employee life cycle and how the various aspects are supported by a human resources professional. This will cover recruiting staff, onboarding, benefits, compensation, evaluation and performance, employee engagement, recognition, and termination. Intern will gain experience in a small (30 Employee) government contractor. Staff members will mentor intern as he or she prepares to leave the military and intern will be well prepared to begin a civilian job search.

Intern will assist in recruiting, reviewing resumes and participating in interviews. Intern will assist in annual open enrollment for benefits.Intern will assist in reviewing compensation and analysing compensation data. Intern will facilitate employee evaluation process using HRIS. Intern will develop strategies to increase employee recognition and engagement. Intern will draft separation agreements, termination interview scripts, and termination emails.
