Explore the mapDFC Manufacturing Group is offering Department of Defense SkillBridge opportunities for transitioning Service Members interested in building a career in manufacturing and skilled trades.This structured 151–180-day training program provides hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment where participants will learn production processes, fabrication techniques, machine operation, tooling, quality standards, and other specialized manufacturing skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.Participants remain on active duty throughout the program while receiving their military pay and benefits from the Department of Defense.
Participants will complete a structured manufacturing training program designed to provide practical experience across skilled manufacturing operations.Depending on the training path selected, participants may receive instruction in:• Manufacturing fundamentals and workplace safety• Blueprint and drawing interpretation• Machine operation• Fabrication and assembly• Die making fundamentals• Quality control and inspection• Material handling and production workflow• Preventive maintenance• Lean manufacturing principles• Continuous improvement practicesThroughout the program, participants will progressively develop technical skills while working alongside experienced mentors. Training plans are customized to the selected manufacturing pathway and facility requirements.
