The program will provide thorough training to equip you with the skills and experience to prepare you for a career as a Retail Food Safety Auditor. As a Retail Food Safety Auditor, you will play a crucial role in the mission of NSF – to protect and improve human and planet health. Must be an active member of military or spouse of active military (can we note this for posting purposes)Bachelor's degree in Science or a combination of one of the following: (1) an Associate’s degree with at least 2 years of experience in food safety, restaurant or grocery operations or (2) High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years experience in food safety, restaurant or grocery operations Excellent verbal and written communication, analysis and problem-solving skills Willing to travel up to a 150-mile radius from _posted city_; with the potential of outside of this radius. Willingness to work at minimum one weekend a month and some evenings Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Prior food safety experience/knowledge Preferred Qualifications: Prior food safety audit experience ServSafe certification Certified CP-FS (Certified Professional Food Safety) or capable to obtain within 12 months (or equivalent certification)
