Job description:
The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a Powered Support Systems Mechanic in support of the Air Force Space Command Inter Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Minuteman III and Peacekeeper Weapon Systems, performing Depot level and Time Compliance Technical Order modification (TCTO). Repair Response Teams work independently at remote underground Missile Launch and Aler1 Facilities located over a 24,000 square mile geographic dispersion area and mandated by multiplestate environmental protection regulations. Maintain and repair problems that are further aggravated by changing severe weather conditions, complicated by an aging Nuclear Missile system that has exceeded its designed life cycle, yet is programmed into the year 2075.
