    Summary description:
    Casey's is a Fortune 500 company with 2600+ convenience store locations across 17 states. During the initial internship period, you'll learn how to run a Casey's store (prepared food & dispensed beverage merchandising, people leadership, P&L, asset protection, grocery & general merchandising, vendor relationships, etc.). Following the initial 90 day period, you'll run your own store for a designated period of time and then have the opportunity to move into a District Manager role, where you'll oversee 10-12 stores.
    Job description:
    •Provides leadership and managerial development through coaching, mentoring and in alignment to Casey’s CARES values.•Leads, directs and influences Store Leadership to execute Casey’s operational initiatives and strategies.•Models and promotes a guest first culture by consistently delivering quality, convenience, and results. •In partnership with Division Recruiters, actively understands direct competitors’ hiring strategies and adapts techniques to help drive applicant flow across the district to ensure the right talent is in the right role. •Strengthen(s) business acumen and drive(s) performance metrics in the assigned district. •Effectively partners with Store Support Center teams and proactively allocates resources, prioritizes, and delegates work, and regularly reviews Optimized Scheduler to ensure efficient scheduling methods and labor hours are being effectively leveraged. •In partnership with Field Training Team Leads, ensures Store Managers are timely trained to perform their jobs safely, effectively and to provide a great team member and guest experience.•Drives positive change by gaining full understanding of the “why” and embracing initiatives/direction provided from Casey’s leadership team and furthermore owns the initiative when explaining to store leadership team and team members. •Assesses and identifies next level talent at all areas of store leadership to create bench strength for stores within assigned district. •Creates action plans to address gaps and routinely follows up on progress.
