The SRS Distribution Skill-Bridge Training Program is an operation based, hands-on program, where you will learn and make contributions from day one! SRS Distribution and the Heritage family of Companies is the largest network of independent roofing, building products, Landscape and Pool Products distributors in the U.S. Your goal is to learn all aspects of our business, culture, and core values, so that you can prepare of your post military career and possibility join the SRS family as an operations manager. We have a dedicated Talent Management team working with you and your mentors so that your experience is like no other in the industry.As an Operations Manager Trainee you will learn to manage the daily warehouse operations of the facility and supervises the drivers and warehouse staff. You will learn demonstrate superior customer service that meets each customer’s unique set of delivery and installation requirements as well as Assist the assistant branch manager in maintaining inventory levels and day-to-day operations.Operations Manager Responsibilities:• Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse to ensure that work orders are pulled quickly and accurately.• Manage all phases of inventory control to include purchasing, weekly cycle counts, pricing, review, and disposition of damaged and outdated stock.• Oversee orders are loaded and unloaded for the vendor or customer promptly.• Oversee the dispatching of trucks for timely and accurate delivery of products to worksites.• Assist branch managers with all other areas of running the branch Duties/Responsibilities: Handle incoming customer complaints in a prompt and courteous manner, assist or direct warehouse personnel in loading and unloading trucks, track and report stock levels using Agility software/computer system, coordinate purchases of materials for re-sale through the Branch Manager to ensure duplicate orders are avoided.
