Job description:
A Geophysical Survey Technician supports geophysical investigations by operating specialized equipment to measure underground features and geological structures. The role involves fieldwork, equipment setup, data collection, and assisting with data processing and reporting. Key Responsibilities include • Operate geophysical instruments such as seismic, magnetic, gravity, electrical resistivity, and ground-penetrating radar equipment. • Conduct field surveys to collect subsurface data at project sites. • Set up and maintain survey equipment, including sensors, cables, GPS units, and recording systems. • Record and monitor data during surveys to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Perform basic data processing and quality checks using specialized software. • Assist geophysicists or project managers with interpreting survey results. • Follow safety procedures during field operations, often in remote or challenging environments. • Transport, calibrate, and maintain instruments and survey gear.
All positions are in-person, in Anchorage Alaska.
