Job Requirements Terms & Conditions: Technicians frequently lift and carry, unassisted, items weighing up to 18 kilograms(40 lbs.). They are sometimes required to lift and carry items weighing more than 23 kilograms (50 lbs.) with the help of weight handling equipment or with assistance from other workers.Some workers may be required to work outdoors, in parked aircraft, at high places utilizing man lifts, in confined spaces, or in hazardous noise areas. Workers may be exposed to vibrations and extremes of heat, cold, and inclement weather. Dirt, dust, grease, solvents, and aircraft fluids may be common in the work-place. Work involves the possibility of cuts, bruises,Muscle strains and injuries from falls from scaffolds or ladders or from lifting equipment. Some works may be exposed to toxic fumes and high-pressure air and fluids. Workers may berequired to wear appropriate safety gear such as protective eyewear, fall arrest lanyards, hearing protection, respirators, etc. The work requires frequent standing, walking, bending,Crouching, reaching, and stooping. Climbing and working in high places may be required.
