We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and highly organized Procurement Specialist to manage supplier relationships, monitor on-time delivery performance, oversee quality documentation and certification requirements, and coordinate order expediting and follow-up activities. In this role, you will help ensure our customers receive high-quality products and reliable, timely service. Key responsibilities include following established procurement procedures, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of current and upcoming purchase orders, proactively resolving supplier and delivery issues, and building strong, productive relationships with our supplier partners.
The Procurement Specialist sources and quotes aerospace and aviation products for Jaco's existing customer base. You will work a high volume of RFQs through our proprietary platform, dealing directly with customers on one side and suppliers on the other.Day to day, that means sourcing products, negotiating with vendors on price and lead time, and entering and quoting RFQs (Request For Quotes) accurately. This position requires you to stay ahead of customers' timelines and apply pricing consistently across accounts. Customer satisfaction runs through you from quote to delivery. The RFQ on your screen is mission-critical, whether a program has a deadline or a line is down waiting on a part. Sourcing it correctly and getting it there on time keeps the warfighter equipped and mission-ready. The majority of service members participating in our SkillBridge program remain with us. We believe that veterans are among the most exceptional individuals to employ, and we prefer to substantiate this conviction with a formal job offer rather than merely a slogan - the majority of candidates who complete our program receive such an offer.
Most of the service members who come through our SkillBridge program stay on. We think veterans are some of the best people we can hire, and we'd rather back that up with a job offer than a slogan - most candidates who finish with us get one. Here's what you'd be joining. Jaco Aerospace has supplied the aerospace and defense industry since 1971. We distribute the parts and materials customers use to build and maintain aircraft, defense systems, and spacecraft, and we handle the supply chain work that goes with it. We're an AS9120B-certified distributor and were among the first in our field to meet CMMC cybersecurity requirements - meaning orders arrive with the documentation and traceability the program requires, and customer data stays protected. In 2024, Northrop Grumman named us a Supplier of the Year. The work matters for a simple reason. Somebody is waiting on that part - a maintainer with an aircraft down, a program with a deadline. Get them the right part, with the right pedigree, on the day they need it, and the flying public and the warfighter stay safe and mission-ready.
