The Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) is responsible for implementing and monitoring construction safety programs on commercial and federal construction projects. The SSHO conducts site inspections, audits safety compliance, identifies workplace hazards, investigates incidents, delivers safety training, maintains safety documentation, supports Accident Prevention Plans (APPs), and ensures compliance with OSHA regulations, EM 385-1-1 requirements, and company safety policies. The role serves as the primary safety representative on construction sites and works closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to promote a safe work environment.
