To provide advanced maintenance and repair work in the performance of a variety of tasks in one or more craft areas. Responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks independently or for assisting journey level craft workers. Routinely assists mechanics/technicians with preventive maintenance. Reads blueprints. Drives UT vehicle. Routinely performs duties in one or more of the following representative crafts and trades: Asbestos removal, carpentry, chilling station, electrical, electrical distribution, fire alarm, heating, ventilating and air-conditioning (HVAC), heavy equipment/construction, mechanical distribution, paint, plant equipment, plumbing and power plant. Performs related duties as required.WORKING CONDITIONS: Conditions vary according to type of work performed.
