Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & Repair- Assist in installing residential and commercial HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation components.- Support troubleshooting and diagnostic activities on malfunctioning HVAC systems.- Help perform system repairs such as replacing parts, cleaning components, and adjusting controls.Maintenance- Participate in preventive maintenance tasks such as filter changes, coil cleaning, testing system performance, and checking refrigerant levels.- Help document maintenance activities and identify potential issues.Safety & Compliance- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.- Properly handle refrigerants and comply with EPA guidelines under supervision.- Maintain a clean and safe worksite.Customer Support & Professionalism- Assist senior technicians in communicating findings and recommended services to customers.- Represent the company professionally through punctuality, appearance, and respectful service.Training & Skill Development- Attend company-provided and external training sessions as required.- Work toward obtaining relevant certifications (EPA 608, NATE, etc.).QualificationsRequired- High school diploma or GED.- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments.- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.Preferred- Completion of or enrollment in an HVAC trade school or apprenticeship program.- Basic understanding of electrical systems, mechanical tools, or HVAC principles.- OSHA 10 certification.Work Environment & Schedule- Typically Monday–Friday, with occasional evenings/weekends during seasonal peaks.- Work performed indoors and outdoors, in varying weather conditions.- Possible exposure to dust, chemicals, and loud noise.Career PathThis role is designed as a developmental position. Successful apprentices can advance to:- HVAC Technician- Senior Technician / Lead Installer- Service Manager- Specialized roles (Controls, Refrigeration, Commercial Systems)
Typical Hours of work are 8-5 Monday-Friday with adjustments required on ocasion due to operation requirments.
