Job description:
Conduct daily apparatus and equipment inspections to ensure operational readiness.Maintain accurate inventories of tools and life-safety equipment.Complete training and practical evaluations aligned with NFPA 1001 and the 580G Task Book.Prepare detailed reports and documentation of training and emergency simulations.Acquire district-level geographic knowledge, including routes, hydrants, and landmarks.Assist with daily station duties, including maintenance and cleanliness.Engage with the community and participate in outreach or public safety events.Perform other duties as assigned by PGVFD leadership.
Trainees must wear navy blue trousers, black station boots, and a plain blue or gray polo shirt (free of department logos). A professional appearance and adherence to hygiene standards are required at all times.
