The intern will be provided the opportunity to work in many different areas of diagnostic radiology, including but not limited to: Outpatient, Inpatient, Orthopedics, Portables, OR, Myelography, ED, Pediatric, etc. The intern will gain skills specific to working in an academic environment. In addition, the intern will be provided the opportunity to observe advanced modalities and explore opportunities for further training and certification (Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Breast Imaging, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, etc.).During their internship, the intern will report directly to the Radiology Director of Education who will facilitate the transition in and out of different clinical teams within diagnostic radiology. They will have the opportunity to connect directly with clinical leadership, full-time staff members, and students. The Johns Hopkins Hospital has advanced modality training programs in CT and MRI as well as training through The Johns Hopkins Schools of Medical Imaging in Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, which all provide excellent opportunities for learning and career growth after military service. The Johns Hopkins Schools of Medical Imaging programs are all eligible for GI Bill tuition benefits including Chapter 30, 31, and 35 benefits.
