Cleaver Brooks Sales & Service offers transitioning service members an opportunity to develop foundational mechanical and electrical skills used in the service, maintenance, and operation of industrial boiler systems. Through a blend of hands‑on training, structured classroom instruction, and field exposure, participants build practical competencies in equipment inspection, mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, basic controls, and safe system operation. During the program, service members work alongside experienced technicians and receive direct mentorship while learning boiler start‑up procedures, combustion tuning fundamentals, control panel wiring, pipefitting basics, and mechanical repair techniques. The experience is designed for those with general mechanical aptitude—such as aircraft maintainers, machinists, industrial repair technicians, or other technically oriented military roles—and prepares participants for advancement into full‑time careers as Boiler Controls Technicians or Boilermaker Mechanics upon completion. Program duration may be adjusted for well‑qualified applicants whose SkillBridge availability is shorter than the standard training timeline. Opportunities are available in the following locations: Davenport, IA; Des Moines, IA; Chicago, IL; St. Louis, MO; Houston, TX; Dallas, TX; San Antonio, TX; and Grandview, MO.
