The Maintenance Project Manager supports facility and vessel improvement initiatives by identifying maintenance needs, developing project proposals, and managing projects from concept through completion. Responsibilities include defining scope, timelines, and budgets; obtaining and evaluating quotes from local contractors; coordinating with vendors and stakeholders; and overseeing project execution to ensure quality, safety, and cost control. The participant will manage multiple small-to-medium projects across shipboard systems and museum facilities, document progress, and evaluate outcomes.The Museum will host SkillBridge participants for flexible durations of 30 to 180 days. This role provides hands-on experience aligned with the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Professional (PMP) competencies, including project planning, procurement, stakeholder communication, risk management, scheduling, and performance tracking, contributing qualifying experience toward PMP certification.The Maintenance Project Manager role will include a degree of flexibility, and the Museum will actively collaborate with prospective candidates to align responsibilities and projects with individual career transition goals whenever possible. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative, with an interest in facilities maintenance, infrastructure improvement, and project management.
