Amazing opportunity to combine military leadership training with clinical acumen. This program will prepare physical therapists transitioning from active military service to practice in a private, for-profit setting. Participants will provide physical therapy care (evaluations and treatment) to an established population while learning about managing a patient population, hiring clinical and administrative staff, marketing and growing a practice, billing practices in accordance with commercial insurance rules and CMS regulations, budgeting and cost containment, business development and creating relationships with referring providers.

Program training objectives aim to equip transitioning military personnel desiring to apply to physical therapy school with supervised clinical experiences to gain valuable hands-on experience working with patients, observing and assisting in treatments, and interacting with licensed physical therapists. This exposure to real-world physical therapy practice helps them develop a deeper understanding of the profession and its demands. Furthermore, gaining the expected clinical experience and exposure to physical therapy practice can enhance an individual's application to physical therapy school.
