Six Maritime's Maritime Autonomy & Uncrewed Systems Fellowship provides transitioning service members with hands-on experience supporting the integration, testing, and operational employment of emerging maritime technologies. Fellows work alongside executive leadership and experienced maritime professionals supporting uncrewed surface vessels (USVs), operational test and evaluation, technology assessments, customer demonstrations, proposal development, and defense innovation initiatives. Participants gain practical experience bridging military operational expertise with commercial maritime technology while preparing for careers in defense, maritime security, systems integration, and government contracting.
Job description:
The Maritime Autonomy & Uncrewed Systems Fellow supports Six Maritime's growing portfolio of maritime technology, defense innovation, and operational integration efforts. Fellows participate in projects involving uncrewed maritime systems, operational test and evaluation, technology demonstrations, systems integration, customer engagement, technical documentation, and business development activities.Under the mentorship of experienced maritime professionals, participants develop practical skills in:Maritime systems integrationUncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) operations and conceptsOperational Test & Evaluation (T&E)Technology assessmentsMission planning and operational analysisTechnical writing and documentationDefense proposal developmentCustomer demonstrationsProject managementExecutive-level business developmentFellows gain exposure to emerging maritime technologies while contributing to projects supporting Department of Defense, homeland security, and commercial maritime customers.
Rolling enrollment. Housing and relocation assistance are not provided. Some travel may be required based on project assignments.

Desired Qualifications:Strong leadership and communication skillsInterest in maritime operations and emerging technologiesAbility to work independently and within multidisciplinary teamsProfessional writing and presentation skills preferredMaritime, aviation, engineering, intelligence, communications, or technical backgrounds are desirable but not required
