Job description:
Core Responsibilities:Execute work orders (intake, triage, repair, documentation, closeout) in a CMMS environment.Perform basic carpentry (doors/locks, patch/paint, caulking/weatherproofing).Perform minor plumbing repairs (fixtures, traps, PEX/PVC basics, leak/c log troubleshooting).Perform minor electrical tasks within scope (outlets/switches/fixtures, GFCI/AFCI awareness; escalate when required).Maintain grounds and trails (mowing, trimming, debris removal, erosion control, signage).Support vehicles/small equipment PM (utility carts, mowers, small engines).Maintain aquatics systems (daily testing, water chemistry balancing, filtration/backwash, seasonal start-up/shutdown).Execute preventive maintenance routes and seasonalization (winterization/de-winterization).Follow OSHA-aligned safety practices (PPE, HAZCOM/SDS, LOTO, incident reporting).Coordinate with vendors/partners and manage parts/inventory basics.Work Environment: Largely outdoors and shop/field-based; moderate lifting; variable weather; occasional weekends as needed for program operations.Ideal Candidate: Mechanically inclined, safety-first mindset, great communicator, thrives in a service culture.
Equipment/PPE Provided: Hand tools for training, safety PPE (gloves, eye/ear protection), test kits for aquatics modules, access to CMMS.Cert Prep Included: OSHA-10, First Aid/CPR/AED, EPA 608 prep, CPO prep (exam scheduling subject to partner availability).

Active-duty Service Members eligible for DoD SkillBridge (command approval required).Must pass background screening per YMCA child-safety standards.Ability to lift 50 lbs, work outdoors, and use hand/power tools safely.Willingness to work occasional weekends or evenings during peak program periods.Preferred: OSHA-10, First Aid/CPR/AED; willingness to pursue CPO/EPA 608 where applicable.
