Summary description:
The Business Development Representative is responsible for developing and managing new accounts, maintaining current business relationships, assisting with the implementation of strategic sales and marketing business plans. Assist with inquiry/intake calls, client screenings, admissions and contacts with utilization reviewers and case managers. They are also responsible for working with the admissions and facility staff to assure exceptional client and community satisfaction, and in developing and achieving community education and awareness goals. A BD represenative’s primary objective is to promote the Banyan services, increase awareness, and drive admissions.
Job description:
1. Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, therapists, physicians, social workers, and other potential referral sources.2. Collaborate with local organizations, community leaders, and relevant businesses to build a network of support.3. Become familiarized with all Banyan facilities, programs, insurance contracts, levels of care, and other relative information.4. Actively promote the facility's services to potential clients and referral sources. Provide appropriate marketing materials and education about local and national Banyan facilities.5. Create and maintain Salesforce business accounts, keeping information including website, point of contact, type of business, address, phone number and services provided up to date and accurate.6. Work closely with the admissions team to ensure a smooth transition from lead to admission7. Work with the Refer Out Team and Case Management departments to appropriately provide step down recommendations.8. Respectfully and appropriately work with and assist potential clients and their families.9. Host in-service events to educate local businesses, private practices, and hospital systems about Banyan facilities10. Consistently meet monthly expectation regarding number of successful client admissions.11. Maintain a constant weekly booked calendar of events, meetings, tasks, outbound calls, conferences, and other job-related events and appointments.12. Comply with attendance policy; be readily available and productive during expected working hours13. Abide by all local and national laws regarding the confidentiality and interactions with staff and pending, previous and future clients.14. Attend in-service training and continue with educational courses as required.15. Comply with Joint Commission Standards, Facility Guidelines, and Banyan Treatment Centers policies and procedures16. Assist, promote, and carry out philosophy of treatment.17. Build positive relationships with staff and clients.18. Represent the program to referral sources, potential patients, and other outside individuals and agencies in a courteous, professional manner that reflects positively on the program and its staff.19. Answer telephones courteously and directs calls as requested.20. Protect the confidentiality of patients and the privacy of staff.21. Accept and utilizes supervision.22. Maintain a good public relation with the addiction treatment community and associates.42. Demonstrate adherence to accepted ethical and behavioral standards of conduct. 43.
