Job description:
The Maritime Operations & Training Fellow supports Six Maritime's operational and training programs through a structured professional development experience. Fellows assist with planning and executing maritime training events, supporting small boat operations, developing instructional materials, conducting classroom and practical instruction under supervision, and assisting with operational planning and quality management initiatives.Throughout the program, participants develop experience in:• Maritime operations• Small boat operations• Maritime security training• Curriculum development• Instructor development• Exercise planning and execution• Operational risk management• Leadership and team coordination• Quality management• Customer engagementFellows gain practical leadership experience while supporting training and operational programs serving Department of Defense, government, and commercial maritime customers.
Training location and start date are coordinated with each participant based on operational requirements and mentor availability.
Eligibility factors:
Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Navy, Space Force
• Strong leadership and communication skills• Interest in maritime operations and professional instruction• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Professional appearance and customer service mindset• Maritime, military, or operational leadership experience preferred but not required• Ability to obtain or maintain required credentials as applicable
