As a SkillBridge fellow at Sagent, within the Safety Coordinator Fellowship Program, you will be able to utilize skills homed in Active-Duty service in a technologically, administrative, and safety-advanced environment that supports and encourages continuous learning. In this role, you will work alongside industry leaders and Safety, OSHA, Training, Engineering, and Human Resources experts. The candidate will also train with a TWC licensed Safety Instructor that will help your military transition into the civilian sector.
Job description:
The position is for a Human Resource Coordinator with the potential of becoming a permanent hire at the end of the cohort. This is an on-site position, and you will work directly with the HR Manager, along with an HR firm. Under the framework of the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program, Sagent hosts active-duty US military members for skilled employment training for up to the final 6 months of active duty obligated service. Any rank, enlisted or officer, may apply for SkillBridge. SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Sagent, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members. Your unit Commander must authorize participation prior to the start of the internship.⭐Presenting safety training sessions to the company⭐Ensuring compliance with ODHA, federal and state regulations ⭐Handling risk assessments to gather information on safety issues⭐Analyzing health and safety data⭐Understanding of OSHA guidelines and other state and local safety regulations
