A The Distribution Management Division manages and coordinates FEMA' s supply program to assist in domestic incident management in accordance with the National Response Framework (NRF) by all modes of transportation; oversees the supply chain management of a large vehicle fleet program that supports assigned logistical programs by ensuring policy development, assets management and delivery of fleet services; and manages through Distribution Centers located throughout the Continental United States (CONUS) and outside the Continental United States (OCONUS). In support of this operation, the material handler is responsible for receiving, shipping, stock positioning, care of stock in storage, and all movements of cargo at the Distribution Center.

Terminal Learning Objectives: Move palletized and oversized cargo within the warehouse, store cargo on in rack locations, refuel MHE.Course Name: Logistics Supply Chain Management System This unit provides the necessary knowledge for new LSCMS users. Basic functions described in this unit include how to navigate the system, complete searches, and view detailed information pertaining to necessary job functions. The class will train users on how to track commodities and assets, receive inventory, manage inventory (user interface and RF), fulfill orders, shipping documentation and dispatch.Terminal Learning Objectives: Proficiently navigate LSCMS program screens both in UI and RF. Process and verify all inbound receiving offload and outbound load trailer functions, conduct inventory location adjustments, execute pre-stage function.
Description:Performs duties associated with the receipt, storage and issue/shipment of a variety of supplies, materials, and equipment. Receives, unloads, and processes incoming shipments manually, by handcarts and other non-mechanized conveyances, or by operation of a forklift. Selects proper storage locations for items; assembles items into groups based on information shown on receiving vouchers and, as required segregates materials according to such factors as condition or type of transaction. Holds material for inspection according to established procedures and routes item not requiring inspection to proper storage area or to the designated organization. Reports overages, shortages, or damage conditions to higher-grade employee. Checks stock identification changes to ensure that proper items are selected and assembled for issue. Selects items for shipment or issue by comparing identifying information on documents with stock tags or box markings. Assembles items for shipment or issue manually, or by nonmechanized conveyances or by forklift. Loads materials onto carrier in such a manner as to prevent damage during transport and to expedite unloading. Completes and signs shipping and receiving documents. In performing warehouse duties and loading and unloading truck, operates a forklift truck capable of lifting loads up to 10,000 pounds or more that are higher than 168 inches.Tasks:Independently performs a full range of warehouse duties, and receives, unloads, stores, ships,and maintains equipment and supplies. Assists in the efficient storage and arrangement of materials, following Agency procedures and regulations. Operates a fork-lift to move material and equipment. Operates a computer terminal and transacts inventory against shipping operations, receiving operations, inventory adjustments, and material on location. Assists inventory management team with kitting operations, bulk storage, and stock re-location. Performs first and second counts. Ensures the forwarding of receipt documentation. Assists with cycle counts and annual wall to wall inventories. Reconciles warehouse location data and ensures material is recorded correctly. Performs marking and labeling for material identification.
