This training prepares the participant to perform professional analytical, administrative, and operational functions commonly assigned to the State of Nevada Management Analyst series. Training emphasizes research methodologies, organizational analysis, policy development, strategic planning, budget support, legislative analysis, process improvement, project management, stakeholder collaboration, and executive-level communication.The internship provides practical exposure to government administration while developing analytical thinking, professional writing, decision-making, and project management skills necessary for successful civilian employment within State government.Depending upon agency assignment, participants may receive additional exposure to budgeting, grants management, human resources, legislative affairs, information technology projects, operational planning, procurement, performance measurement, or other specialized management functions while maintaining the core learning objectives established within this curriculum.

Management Analysts perform professional analytical and administrative work supporting agency operations, programs, and management decision-making. Duties may include conducting research, analyzing data and organizational processes, evaluating policies and procedures, supporting budgets and strategic planning, coordinating projects, measuring program performance, preparing reports and recommendations, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery.
