Technicians are responsible for the staging, deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting of multi-site public safety radio systems. This is an important role as it is a direct interface with our customers, many of whom are first responders. The field service technician adds value to the company by being a direct representative of the company. The customers we serve also serve the public and their communications are vital to public safety efforts in the New England area. This field is only expected to grow over the next 10 years as more areas upgrade ageing systems to modern digital systems and CyberComm is uniquely positioned to provide these essential services.

https://cybercomminc.com/ Build install and maintain multi-site integrated radio systems for many of New England’s Public Safety entities. CyberComm technicians work on multiple different integrated radio/dispatch console systems, Fire station monitoring and alert systems and respond to after-hours calls when assigned. Technicians often work independently and are required to be able to troubleshoot systems. A successful candidate should be able to work with engineers and townships to ensure that the customers’ needs are met. Technicians should have a fundamental understanding of RF and basic networking skills. Opportunities exist to learn microwave linking systems and Bi-directional Amplifiers for fire department safety. Additionally, training opportunities exist to stay current in this ever-changing field. Qualified Candidates Must Have:• A knowledge of 2-way radio communications, such as transmitters, receivers, antenna, and basic networking skills.• Self-motivation and customer service skills to perform required duties at a distance with minimal supervision. Candidate should also have strong team working skills as they will be working with other technicians at times.• Strong knowledge to perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation with focus on trend analysis and documentation of results.• Strong people skills to work closely with our customers and subcontractors, as well as our internal engineering, project management and sales teams. Computer IP networks and configuration RF infrastructure technologies. Experience with Motorola radios is preferred but candidates with exposure to other systems will be considered.• Skilled in the use of various communications test equipment including: Communications analyzer, Site Hawk Test Set, Digital RF power meter• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and radio programming software suites.• A current, valid driver’s license
