Police Officer: The Provost Marshal Office is seeking personnel who desire a future in Law Enforcement.
Job description:
Police Officer intern will be trained in and be responsible for the following: - Meet the eligibility criteria outlined in Marine Corps Order 5580.5 upon completion of the program to gain future employment with the department. -Work regularly includes assignment to a rotating shift, including weekends and holidays. Incumbent is subject to a 24-hour recall, maintain a 24-hour recall notification number and is required to respond per Installation policy/SOP. - May be subject to interrupted meals or other work breaks while on duty. Applicant may be required to respond to off base circumstances as directed by the Provost Marshal, in accordance with USMC and DOD policy.

-Must pass a sanctioned physical agility test, medical evaluation and pass periodic retests as required. -Must pass all weapons qualifications tests prior to being assigned other duties and responsibilities and must pass all required re-qualifications. -Must be able to read, write and speak English. -This position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position. -Required to undergo periodic urinalysis requirements and sustainment drug testing. Must be a U.S. citizen; pass a National Agency Check and local background check. -Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. -Must be 18 years of age. -Must maintain program height and weight standards. -Must meet medical standards for police officers in DoD 6055.05M. -Required to wear a uniform and maintain appearance and grooming standards per Marine Corps Orders/policies. -As first responders to chemical/biological attacks, must be able to train and wear personal protective equipment to include mask, suit, boots, and gloves. -Must adhere to all safety regulations and standards to include disease prevention and health promotion. Properly uses all required safety equipment and safe workplace procedures. Promptly reports all observed workplace hazards. Immediately reports (same work shift) to supervisor any injury, occupational illness, or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps.
