Data Centers are considered Critical Facilities. This means that we support hospitals, laboratories, public safety centers. Simply put - We cannot go dark. In this crucial role, you will complete repairs, corrective maintenance, and routine installations of Critical Facility infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesYou will perform site inspections and supervise the building and Data Center alarmsPerforms preventative maintenance on-site infrastructure (e.g. maintenance of primary infrastructures), or leads vendorsPerform routine maintenance on commercial HVAC systems, including cleaning and replacing filters, lubricating moving parts, and inspecting electrical connectionsTroubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC systems, including identifying and repairing leaks, faulty wiring, and malfunctioning componentsConduct regular inspections of HVAC systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and in compliance with safety regulationsPerform preventative maintenance tasks, such as checking refrigerant levels, calibrating thermostats, and testing system performanceInstall and replace HVAC equipment, including compressors, motors, fans, and thermostatsExtensive knowledge of critical infrastructure i.e. UPS, generator, BMS, chillers, life safety systemsCompletion of site logs and data gathering issuing for basic permits, such as MOPs and scriptsRespond to all on-site incidents and acts as the need arisesProvide assistance during critical maintenance activitiesYou are able to effectively collaborate within the department and provide recommendations to peers for general maintenance activitiesCarry out basic infrastructure projects24/7 Operation - Your flexibility to work any assigned shift, off-schedule, fill in for workmate, respond to emergencies, etc.Qualifications3+ years experience with critical infrastructure or commercial/Industrial HVAC maintenance to include troubleshooting, monitoring and routine maintenanceHigh School Diploma or equivalentYou perform all essential job functions, including walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting and manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodationYou are available to work days/nights/weekends/holidays, if needed and/or requiredYou can lift heavy equipment/items up to 50 poundThe United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:• San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $69,000 to $107,000 per year• California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $63,000 to $98,000 per year• Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island: $57,000 to $89,000 per yearOur pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.This position may be offered in other locations. Must meet all eligibility requirements outlined in DOD Instruction 1322.29 and NAVADMIN 222/15. Required: Official TAD/ TDY Orders to Equinix for the period of the internship. Required: Technical Associates Degree, military technical school, or civilian technical trade school completion. Minimum of two years' formal training or four years progressive responsibility and experience fabricating, assembling, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing hydraulic/mechanical systems, and small valve maintenance, including high pressure air/liquid power and control equipment (pumps, valves, etc). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Must be a US Citizen who is not a dual citizen of any other country. Prefer active DOD Secret security clearance or higher.
